Contacts

Location: Case Menu->Contacts


General

The Contacts page allows for managing contact information for those related to a specific case.  This includes, but is not limited to, experts, opposing counsel, and team members.  This section will specifically address adding and deleting contacts as well as updating existing contact information.


Contacts Main Screen


Column Description

Type: The icon can signify either an Individual or Organization.
Name: This is a general purpose field. 
AddressThis is a general purpose field. 
Contact InformationThese are general purpose fields including areas for phone number(s) and email address.
Affiliation: This is a general purpose field and/or options can be selected from a drop down box.

Create New Contact

To create a new contact, go to the main Contacts screen (Case Menu->Contacts).  Expand the Create section and click on Create New Contact.  The Edit Contact screen will appear.  Input corresponding information and click Update in the lower left hand corner.  This will save the information as a new contact.


Delete Existing Contact

To delete an existing contact, go to the main Contacts screen (Case Menu->Contacts).  Select the contact(s) to be deleted and navigate to the menu on the left hand side and expand the Delete section.  Click on Delete Selected Items and then OK to confirm.


Edit Existing Contact

To edit an existing contact, go to the main Contacts screen (Case Menu->Contacts).  Select Edit to the far right of the contact's row.  The Edit Contact screen will appear.  Make necessary adjustments and click Update to save the changes.


Importing/Export Case Contacts

To export an existing contact list, go to the main Contacts screen (Case Menu->Contacts).  Select All, or Select individually, the contacts to be exported.  Navigate to the menu on the left hand side and expand the Export section.  Click Export to Excel.

To import an existing contact list, go to the main Contacts screen (Case Menu->Contacts).  Navigate to the menu on the left hand side and expand the Import section.  Click Choose File and browse to the designated path to select the saved contact list. Click Import.
